Krista Robertson is an associate at WardChisholm, LLP where she practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and adult guardianships.  Krista relies on nearly a decade of experience as an estates and trusts attorney to anticipate legal and practical issues that may arise during the probate process, estate administration, or trust administration.

Krista works with estate planning clients of all backgrounds, regardless of family structure or economic status to assist them in achieving their estate planning objectives.  Her early legal experience as a family law attorney provides her with additional insight into planning concerns arising from divorce, prenuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, and separation agreements. She advises families in all configurations to find appropriate solutions to ensure her clients’ children, significant others, and assets are adequately protected.

Krista’s years of experience as a staff attorney for the District of Columbia Superior Court Probate Division allow her to lead clients through the more challenging aspects of serving as an executor, personal representative, or trustee, or who is a beneficiary of a trust or estate, with clear, practical, and understandable advice.

As an adult guardianship attorney, Krista understands the needs of not only adults who need assistance with daily living, their finances, or health care, but also the needs and concerns of the family members and friends who care for the adult’s overall well-being. Krista can guide clients through the process of seeking guardianship of an adult in a way that is respectful of the logistical and emotional challenges posed by the process.
